Summary:
The MdtD protein is an uncharacterised member of the major facilitator superfamily (MFS) of transporters [Pao98]. Based on sequence similarity, MdtD may function as a proton-driven drug efflux system. MdtD has been implicated in arabinose efflux [Koita12].
