Summary:
Bcr is a probable multidrug efflux protein, expression of which has been shown to confer resistance to bicyclomycin [Bentley93] and sulfathiazole [Vedantam98]. Bcr is a member of the major facilitator superfamily and has been proposed to function as a drug/proton antiporter [Paulsen93].
