Escherichia coli K-12 substr. MG1655 Polypeptide: predicted lipoprotein

Gene: yghJ Accession Numbers: G7541 (EcoCyc), b4466, ECK2968

Synonyms: b2974 (obsolete), b2973 (obsolete), sslE

Regulation Summary Diagram: ?

Summary:
YghJ is a hypothetical protein. yghJ contains a predicted lipoprotein signal [Gonnet04].

In enterotoxigenic E. coli strain H10407 yghj is located upstream of an operon encoding a type 2 secretion system (T2SSβ). Deletion of yghJ in the enterotoxigenic E. coli strain H10407 had no effect on secretin assembly or the secretion of enterotoxin [Strozen12].
