Escherichia coli K-12 substr. MG1655 Polypeptide: small membrane protein

Gene: yohP Accession Numbers: G0-10652 (EcoCyc), b4679, ECK4494

Regulation Summary Diagram: ?

Regulation summary diagram for yohP

Summary:
The yohP open reading frame was predicted based on the presence of a ribosome binding site in an intergenic region. YohP contains a predicted transmembrane segment, and the protein can be found in the membrane fraction [Hemm08, Fontaine11]. YohP is highly expressed during stationary phase [Hemm08]. Topology assays using GFP and PhoA fusion proteins suggest that YohP may have a dual orientation within the membrane [Fontaine11].
