Summary:
An enzyme with beta-D-fucohydrolase activity was detected and partially purified from young leaves of Digitalis lanata. This enzymes catalyzes the cleavage of D-fucose from digiproside to form digitoxigenin [Kreis98].

digiproside + H2O <=> digitoxigenin + D-fucose
