A cDNA clone was isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana and called AtPUP2 encoding a protein with 10 transmembrane-spanning domains with N and C-termini being located in the cytosol. This protein is homologous to Atpup1 wth 58% identity at the amino acid level [Burkle03]. It transports trans-zeatin and cis-zeatin.
