Summary:
The expression of ACC synthase was up-regulated by auxin, ethylene, LiCl, pollination, and senescence. ACS2 was only slightly upregulated as a response to pollination and senescnece [Jones99a]. The pollination-induced expression of ACS2 in the styles was inhibited by NBD. This indicated that the ACS2 gene was transcriptionally regulated by ethylene [Jones99a].
