Summary:
Plastocyanin is an important copper-containing protein involved in electron-transfer. This monomeric protein serves in transferring electrons between the two photosystems during photosynthesis light reactions, and more specifically, it transfers electrons between cytochrome f of the cytochrome b6f complex to the P700 complex of photosystem I.
