Summary:
The subunit structure of this enzyme has not been reported.

VioD is a flavin-dependent and NADPH-dependent monooxygenase that catalyzes the hydroxylation of protodeoxyviolaceinate to yield protoviolaceinate in pathway violacein biosynthesis ([Shinoda07] and reviewed in [Hoshino11]).

The crystal structure has been determined, but no publication has resulted from the structure to date.
