Aurantimonas manganoxydans SI85-9A1 is a Gram-negative bacterium isolated from Saanich Inlet, Canada, from the interface between the bottom anoxic water and the overlying oxic water [Tebo85]. The organism oxidizes Mn(II) and contains an active RubisCO enzyme [Caspi96, Dick08a].
