Growth Media Search

Search for growth media by name
Examples: "M9 medium with 1% glycerol", "Davis and Mingioli glucose minimal medium"
Search/Filter by compounds present in the medium
Find Growth Media that include
all
any
of the following compounds:

Enter up to four compound names. Use the autocomplete functionality to select a full compound name, as no substring matching is done on compound names. Note that the autocomplete mechanism only shows compounds that are actually consitituents of one or more growth media.
Examples: "L-arginine", "beta-D-glucose"
Search/Filter by compounds not present in the medium
Find Growth Media that do not contain any of the following compounds:

Find growth media for which any of the checked growth levels have been observed. Note that this will exclude all growth media for which no growth observation data is available.

With Gene Knockout (leave blank for wildtype):
Check or uncheck the growth level boxes as appropriate. If no gene knockout is specified, then media on which the wildtype organism exhibits one of the specified growth levels will be returned. When specifying a gene knockout, use the autocomplete functionality to select a full gene name, as no substring matching is done on the gene name.
Examples: "trpA", "hisC"
Note that only a small proportion of growth media currently have gene knockout observation data.
